Biblical Manhood’s Worldview

1Cor 16:13-17, 13 Be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like a man, be strong. Your every action must be done with love”, (HCSB)

One area where we, as leaders, fail men is telling them to act like men. And in response, they say: “we want to but how?” Paul admonishes men to be alert, to stand firm in the faith, to be strong, and to have actions filled with love.

Men of God must have a biblical worldview. This means that the way we look and perceive life must be from a biblical perspective. This view instructs men accurately by scripture to Know, Think, Pray, and Act biblically. What we believe affects who we are. Also, our behavior is an extension of the doctrine/theology we possess.

Ponder on these verses Paul writes to the Philippians: Phi 1:9-11,9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment.” Knowledge is the acquisition of biblical truth; wisdom is the application of it. With discernment (judgment), spiritual things are better informed and established. These lead to, spiritual growth, evidenced with a great love for God’s word, more obedience, a strong doctrinal foundation, an expanding faith, and a greater lover for others.
