He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

A Kind Word Makes A Heart Glad

Pro 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad

In our time, virtue is decreasing tremendously. Kindness and respect for the elderly, authority is diminishing, respect for life is impacted. Respect for other people and their properties are threatened. What we need among others is kindness, an aspect of virtue. Apostle Peter in his 2nd epistle gives rule to Christian growth, and the first thing he says “…add to your faith virtue …” (2Pe 1:5).

Kindness is a quality of warm hearted, considerate, humane, and sympathetic. Kind words are like medicine. Take a child for example who has suffered fire burn, medicine without nursing by touch is not enough, soothing, kind words will accelerate the healing faster than with medicine alone. Kind words brings healing to the soul. Even the Lord speaks kind words because He knows what it does to the soul, Zech 1:13 “So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who talked with me”. May we draw from God (Gal 5:22-23) and then strive to shows kindness. Psa 94:19 “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
