He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

And The Brook Dried Up

1Ki 17:1-7, 7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land

The brook God used to supply Elijah with water after awhile dried up. This means of provision was temporary. There are times when the brook dries up meaning that which you thought would always be the means is gone or dried up. At this point you may ponder if it was God’s will for you to be there, or it was but for a season. When you are becoming getting comfortable, He will relocate you so as to depend on Him even more. Change opens us to see God in different dimensions, it helps us grow and mature. Change also allows us not to limit God in any way. If God provided away for you in this, believe that He has already provided another way, He is the way maker.

A believer and seasons of dry spells are not new. Your spiritual brook, zeal to serve others, finances, jobs, positions etc can dry up. Believers are nomadic people always on the move climbing from glory to glory. Don’t expect to find some of us in the previous brooks for when they dried up, it was time to trust God for the next move. Don’t be trying to revive a brook that dried up, what God has closed can no man open and what God has opened can no man close. Ask the Lord what direction to take you as you look forward to the New Year, He has a lot of ways of blessing His people.
