Act 13:38 Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and by Him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
It is certain that people tainted with sin can never make themselves alive and make it to heaven. They are spiritually dead in their trespasses. Jesus therefore came down from heaven to make us such people alive, right and acceptable to God.
It is through Him that we are forgiven, and by Him we are freed from the grips of the law of sin and death. If you believe on Jesus as the Messiah and receive His grace by faith, He will do for you what the law could never do, that is justify you before God. The law could not free anyone, it’s purpose was to show us our desperate need for One greater than Moses, Joshua (Jehovah Saves). Gal 3:24 “So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.“ Jesus is the Offerer and the offering for our justification. 1Co 15:45 “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.”
