He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

Faith That Sees

Mar 10:51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”

The blind beggar’s cry could have been for pocket change or financial breakthrough for he was broke, instead he asked for his eyes to be opened. Our Lord knew his heartfelt need but still asked him to spell out his need.

First, the Lord knows our needs before we even ask and still wants us to ask. Second, what we ask for primarily demonstrates our priorities and our level of faith. Is your faith enough for pocket change or greater? Eyes to see was greater request for therein would he see Christ who transformed his life. And the opening of his eyes would further grant him abilities to change his status from a beggar to a worker, from give me to make me. It is seeing through the eyes of faith of His power to heal that makes the difference. He believed that he might see. Those that have spiritual eye-sight see the beauty of Christ effectually working in all areas. Psa 118:23This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
