He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

God And Sinners Reconciled

Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Mary was betrothed to Joseph and before they came together, she was with child. Despite the fact that Jesus identified with Joseph, He was not Joseph’s seed which would be corrupt and tainted. It’s through virgin birth by a woman not in the lineage but only by marriage after declaration is the purity preserved.

God chose these flawed people to further HiStory while in reality they could not make the cut. 2Co 5:18-19, “18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation”. This is the message of Christmas, God and man reconciled. We sing “Hark the herald angels sing Glory to the newborn King! Peace on earth and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled…It is as though to teach us that in the Son of Man there is a blending of all classes, that He might be the representative and helper of us all. We each find some point of contact in this genealogy. God planned that the flawed would bare the name of His Son and be welcomed in the beloved. Jesus did not have our blood, we have His. Jesus Christ belongs to our race, He chose to identify with us. In Him, therefore, is neither Jew nor Greek exclusively, but all are one in Him.
