He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

God Defends His Chosen

Num 12:4-7, 4 And suddenly the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.” …6 And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. 7 Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house.

God brought the three in His presence and defended Moses. There was a difference of degrees expressed in the gifts and authority given. Moses was set over all God’s house, (that is, His church and people), over Miriam and Aaron because of direct and clear manifestations of the presence and will of God to Moses.

We have message here how to be careful that we not evil against God’s chosen that speak truth. You may feel more qualified than them to do the job but God called them to it. Moses was already under pressure leading complaining Israel, he did not need another attack from his own siblings but support and encouragements. Our overseers put up with a lot of opposition. And just as God will defend His chosen and faithful, we too should defend them by making their lives easier through support, prayers and encouragements.
