Psa 91:7-8, 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked
The life of a believer is built and secured by His maker. He is an overcomer through Christ who give him strength (Phi 4:13). Through preservation, he endures in his surrounding in all seasons. 1Jn 5:4 “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith”. This is a huge struggle because though we know this truth, we feel deficient.
The man who communes with God is not impacted by this infection and corruption for only truth can preserve him when falsehood arises. 1,000 or 10,000 may fall on any side which indicates both the great devastation and the special care and providence of God in preserving His people from them. In addition, the Lord further assures that “Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked” (vs 8). To see and hear, and not be touched are the great testimonies of His preservation.
