Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother.
Everyone has a story to tell of their mother. Mothers have played huge role in ushering us in to the world and rising us up. While they were not perfect, they gave it all. In response, there is a major role children play in giving mothers a sense of worth, honor by how her children treat her, Pro 31:28 “Her children rise up and call her blessed; …” 29″Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.” With millions of babies aborted, are you not glad your mom kept you? I have deep honor and gratitude for my moms (mom, mom-inlaw and auntie-mom) and strive to bless them. I wish I was in a position to do everything to make their aging even more comfortable.
Many times children forget years of sacrifices their mothers made for them. Some dwell on what their mothers should have done better, that is why Pro 30:11 “…there is a generation that does not bless their mother”. Blessings are powerful and our mothers’ honor is mainly reserved in her children blessing her. It’s not all about deserving, it’s about honoring God by blessing your mother by prayers, support, encouragement, time, living a life pleasing to God, not shaming her, not causing her to worry and panic in this time of her life. She has done the sacrifice, let her now sit and enjoy the fruits of her labor. Happy Mother’s Day.
