He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

In This Journey

Mat 9:20-22, 20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garments.

This familiar and one of the famous stories in the Bible has some practical lessons we can glean from. In this journey:-

1. Be a Jesus seeker: This woman in the midst of her situation became a Jesus seeker. Her past failed experiences with worthless people could not deter her from coming to Jesus.

2. Be your own best encourager: You can never feel encouraged by others if it does not start with you. This woman became her best encourager. vs. 21 “For she said within herself, If I may but touch the hem of His garment, I shall be made whole” Faith is boosted when encouragement is given room.

3. Your yesterday should not shape your tomorrow: Her yesterday could not help her get where she was going neither is yours. “Behold Christ makes all things new“. Tomorrow can be vibrant if your past is buried from haunting you.

4. Have hope and faith to make it: A strong faith regards no obstacles in pressing after Christ. Regardless of who she was she still had hope and faith to make it. Anyone can believe God when things are going as anticipated. It takes a greater faith to believe God in the midst of hopelessness.
