Luk 5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the DEEP and let down your nets for a catch”.
After the Master ceased teaching (feeding them with the spiritual food), He turned to perform a miracle that would bring about natural food. He told Peter to cast his nets into the deep for a great catch.
Point #4, We have to purpose in our lives to go deeper especially in prayers. Great things are placed in the deep because they teach us faith, perseverance, character. Anyone can operate in shallow waters and be comfortable there for a while. By faith, we must strive to take God at His word and launch into the deep. Attempt the impossible and believe God for a breakthrough. Deep waters require deeper faith, deeper faith is brought by responding to God’s challenge in Jer 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” From experience, prayer is a struggle for many of us, and some even minimize its importance. It is by prayers that we launch into the deep for a great catch.
