Spiritual warfare is more than Satan’s attack on health, finances, families etc. His main mission is to derail you from trusting God’s word, that is the greatest battle. If he can get to the mind and control it, he would have won. If he can twist things and influence you to fight your brother, then he would have succeeded in diverting your attention from to who the true real enemy is.
It’s only by the renewing of the mind by the Word, and staying true to scripture will the soul be purified and kept from being defiled by Satan. Scripture subdues and mortifies evil desires and thoughts that arise within. It answers unbelief and error that plague us. A single text, well understood, and rightly applied, destroys temptations and objections, and subdues adversaries. The Word gives right powerful information to build faith, prayers fuels and solidifies it in the heart. Our weapons can only become mighty when they are through God.
