Mark 5:41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise”.
Two wonderful things I picked from this vs, Point 1. Jesus who is more than able to do something from a distance wants to come to us, touch and pick us up. His touch brings warmth, comfort and assurance. The picking up is for our restoration to the former or greater. Patients in hospitals need more than medicine. They need personal care, visits, touch, encouragement on top of medicine for wholeness.
Point, 2. He did not speak about the girl, He spoke to the girl. No dead thing can hear our voice but His. His can make His creation hear His voice in whatever state they are in because He has power over them. Dead Lazarus (John 11), dead dry bones (Eze 37), heard His voice when He spoke and they responded. Jesus speaks to that which does not exist or exists. Christ by touch and His voice awoke the girl, and welcomed her back to life. Jesus has more of a touch, a tear and a kind word to give us in our misery state.

Oh this is so special or me right now. Jesus has been so close before the surgery and now too. Closer then in all my life. His touch when I am in pain ,afraid and His word is so living too. Thank you
