He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

The Faith That Starts With Parents

Heb 11:23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command

Amram and Jochebed by faith entrusted their son Moses to God to keep him from harms way. This was not Moses’ faith but his parent’s and in addition his upbringing that shaped his worldview. The dangers he faced is a picture of a threat the enemy senses when a child is born in a Christian family and the parents dedicate him/her to the Lord’s service. Parents ought to diligently protect their kids from all kinds of things aimed at corrupting their minds and their well being. The greatest covering is to entrust them to God’s hands by prayer. Prayer neutralizes every force targeted against them.

Children are treasures from the Lord, and one day each parent will give an account of what they did with the treasure God gave them. Psa 127:3-4, “3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.”
