Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in His way
God only delights in our ways when He orders our steps. He has to be on the driver’s seat driving. We are not co-drivers where at times we are attempted to take over or dictate how He should drive. He goes before us and in this His will prevails.
This is what prayers is about, we call on God and He leads and aligns us in His perfect will. Prayers does not change the purposes of God, but could change direction or means to that purpose. Think of how fast Israel could have made it to the promised land, but they were stiff necked people who always failed to believe God and accused Him in their complaints. The purposes of God for them was needlessly delayed because they refused to let God lead them. The just judge of the world knows better than we do, let us yield in prayers to His leading. Pro 3:5-8 “5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.”
