He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

The Providence In Prayer, Part 2

Mat 6:11 Give US this day OUR daily bread

Jas 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

God’s word is our priority desire for our spiritual nourishment. Iin addition, it sets us to effectively pray for our needs in the light of His word.

Jesus said “give us” Note the “USandOUR” in this prayer outline. God calls us not just to pray for our own needs but also the needs of others. God may allow you to be in need because He has some people in mind with similar situations or worse. With this in mind, where you are may not be necessarily be about you though you feel the pinch. It’s with the same intensity you pray for your need that you are burdened to pray for others because you feel their pain as you do your own. This is loving God first, other’s second, you third.

Take care of God’s business (His and others) and He will take care of yours. Job 42:10 “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before”. Despite his challenges in life, Job’s situation changed when he prayed for his friends, amen. This is the secret to answered prayers. And as you pray, keep this in mind, God meets your “needs” not wants”. Phi 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.
