The poor or lowly brother is not more righteous than the rich. Christians may be rich in God’s economy. God has no problem with believers having stuff (riches), only if the stuff start having them. We have many warnings to the rich for it is easy to love and trust in riches than God. Having money is not the issue, loving it is for it is the root for all kinds of evil, (1Tim 6:10) for “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.” (Ecc 5:10). On a good note, “Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.“, (Ecc 5:19). While God may bless with riches, let the greater pursuit be on spiritual riches that never fades away.
Those of low degree may rejoice, they are exalted to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom of God. Mat 6:19-21, “… 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.“
