Mat 19:25-26, 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
A farmer’s job is to prepare the ground, plant the seeds and water them, that’s it. He cannot do anything to make the seeds live and grow however skilled he is at farming. He is expecting a miracle that what he plants will spring forth having done what he needs to do.
This is no different from dealing with the unsaved. We can pray for them, preach the gospel to them and tell them how they can be saved and live a sample of grace, and keep praying, thats it. We cannot make a person live, we have no right to declare anyone saved, that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Salvation is impossible with man but not with God. What a joy that the outcome is in His hands and not mine. One plants, another waters, God gives increase (gives life).
