God Still Heals Today, Part 1

Luke 5:17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them

The prayer requests that hit my mailbox the most are for physical healing, particularly that of cancer. I can only imagine how many people race to faith healers seeking for a healing touch, if they have the right faith. While I would discredit many of the supposed faith healers, I am a firm believer in physical healing. I believe God still heals today. I have seen healing in my family. My brother had stomach issues a few years ago and the doctors could not detect his problem, my mom had comparable issues at a different time. In our own house led by my dad, we committed these requests to God in prayer, and in His mercies, He heard our cry. My dad battled stomach ulcers for years, and God miraculously healed him.

You may be asking if you have enough faith to pray and believe God for your healing or for a loved one. If you had faith from God to be saved, you have faith from God to be healed. That is all the faith you need and it grows. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is ‘the same yesterday, and today, and forever,’ (Heb 13:8). The Lord Himself said, ‘I am the Lord, I change not,’ (Mal 3:6). All God’s promises are boundless answers to prayers. Miracles will last as long as God’s promises are true, whenever people are given faith to pray and trust Him for them.

Amen. A six month trial of worsening back pain, left spontaneously when I prayed fervently declaring Gods power to remove the condition. In His faithfulness the pain left just then over three weeks ago. Glory to God!!

Praise be to God for His faithfulness. These kind of testimonies encourages others to believe God for a breakthrough. Thank you for sharing.
