Learning To Rest In The Lord

Psa 46:10 Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Walking with the Lord is never easy. If you see someone faithfully walking with the Lord, it’s not because it’s easier for them than others. They have resolved to walk faithfully, totally relying (resting) on Him for strength over life battles. And it’s in the process of walking with the Lord we learn significantly His statement, “8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9″For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isa 55:8-9).

This serves as a reminder of how Great He is and we are not. Picture this, even the foolishness of God is still wiser than all men’s wisdom in the world combined (1Cor 1:25). Learning His ways and not our ways eliminates frustrations. A thousand years resembles a moment to God, hence when you pray and God says hold up a moment, it might mean sit tight for some time

To wait on God is to stop directing to Him of when and how He should do things, and let Him be God in your circumstances. His word says Be still and know that I am God“. If you are going to walk with the Lord, you have to get into His program and not yours. Let us be glad and rejoice in the Lord. In due season victory and calm rest shall be ours because we have learned to rest in His promises. God shall be exalted among the nations by His people and by His enemies.
