He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

Faith Working Through Love

Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

The first grand principle contained in these words is that faith working by love makes a Christian. This trumps anything that perhaps could be elevated as a substitute or addition to saving faith. The dominion of love to God in our hearts and our fellow being arises from nothing but faith.

We love because we believe. Love is the outworking of faith inside. Jesus to His disciples in Joh 13:35 says, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” What is done not from the heart is worthless and is sin, Rom 14:23 ”…For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.” because it is not motivated by love. Faith gives life to love, love gives faith radiance. And love is greater than hope and faith, because God is love.

Amen, brother Evans. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
