Ecc 2:25 for apart from him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?
It is alright that a man should eat, drink and enjoy in his toils and gains for this is from the hand of God (vs 24). To have it is from the hands of God and still, even this natural enjoyment is the gift of God. Apart from His additional blessing you can have it all and not enjoy it.
For one, we thank God for food, but do also thank Him for the smell, taste, our digestive system (internal and external organs). The One who provides the blessings also provides the means to enjoy them. Jas 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect is from above, coming down from the Father’ of lights”. Psa 68:19 “Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits”. We must herein acknowledge God by praise and thanksgiving; we must see that it is from the hand of God. Enjoyment is entirely the gift of God, and granted by Him as the moral Governor of the world. Psa 107:21 “Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!”
