He Has Magnified His Word, Psalm 138:2

Signs Of Hope

Eze 37:1-3, 1 The hand of the Lord…brought me out in the Spirit of theLord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2…very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”

Ezekiel by vision is led to a valley full of dry scattered bones. God follows by asking him an impossible question, “Son of man, can these bones live?” Ezekiel’s response is brilliant, he confessed the outcome was in God’s hands. The state of sinners generally may truly be described in the same terms as very dry bones. We may preach/prophesy (proclaim) the word of God as Ezekiel did so as to effect an outward revolution. But there can be no life until the divine breath passes over them.

The first sign of hope was the divine visitation Mary received. Luk 1:30-3130 Then the angel said to her, “?..Mary,…31…behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus”. Mary though a virgin was chosen to bring life into the valley of dry bones. This sign demonstrated that God makes the impossible possible. Joh 1:4 “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” The promises of Eze 37:13-14 await literal fulfillment in the case of the Jews, we can plead that they may be also realized in our own families, congregations, and neighborhoods. Revival will assuredly end in unity. Whatever is impossible with man is possible with God.
